how can there be a universal justice if nothing out there is bad? or, if things aren't good or bad in themselves, does justice lie in doing what you think is right rather than in doing what is right...

who taught you that there's nothing that's bad?

I was just comparing what the second post said with what the third post said... but you should read "Is God a Taoist?" by Raymond Smullyan (can be found in "The Tao is Silent" by Smullyan, or "The Mind's I" by D. Hofstadter & D. Dennett). It's fantastic!

Nothing is bad? im pretty sure there are a lot of bad things happening around us. as for justice being universal. nah people make their own justice.

Surely if people make their own justice then we're never going to be able to say that things are 'bad' and 'good', because what is good/bad according to one person's justice will be different according to another person's justice...?

If you say something isn't bad, thats not to say you approve of everything (eg murder!). But there might be other ways of looking at things. For example, we can judge things to be 'useful' or 'unhelpful' in terms of the development of the human race, etc etc. Just a different perspective!
