If you choose not to respect your sense of justice, you choose not to respect yourself, and you will
soon end up wondering how much your life is really worth.

how does one not respect ones own views on justice?

People often do things that they consider to be wrong. Like people would rather lie (which they consider to be wrong) than admit to something... or whatever. People also don't do things which they think are right or good. I was on a bus once and there was an old lady crying her eyes out. About ten people on the bus kept looking at each other, all knowing that the right thing to do would be to go over and ask her if she was ok, but none of them did it (so I ended up doing it). It's quite easy to not respet one's one views on justice - it happens every time you feel a stab of conscience!

You just gave me my thought for the day. Thank you very much. I'm a collector of quotations and think I'll add this one if you don't mind. (Attributed to "do I know you".)
